“Gracias por compartir con nosotros tu trabajo.” Since I teach flute lessons online as well as a large physical flute lessons studio, I have favorite emails.   They are usually titled something like:  “Thank you!” or “I love these lessons”.  They make me feel so good. Yes, I know the title of this post is partly in Spanish.  Sorry.  (smile)  I was trying to emphasize that knowing how to use your tongue is super duper important when playing the flute. I receive voice messages and videos from my online students nearly daily.  And, I’ve noticed that the students who tell me they are struggling with their tone often have something in common.  They aren’t using their tongue!  It so surprises me.
